About TramitesVE
TramitesVE explains the paperwork between Venezuela and the United States: visas, passports, TPS, birth certificates, apostilles and translations. It's written for Venezuelans living in the U.S., their families, and Americans who need to travel to or deal with Venezuela.
Who we are
TramitesVE is an independent editorial project run by Romulo Felizola, a Venezuelan who builds information sites. We are not a law firm or a government agency. The guides are free and show you how to do each procedure yourself. For four of them (certified translations, birth certificates with apostille, SAIME passport applications and the Venezuela e-visa) an independent partner can do it for you, always with a quote first. We don't sell what can't be delivered, like B1/B2 visas for Venezuelan passport holders while they're suspended.
How we check
- Official source first: USCIS, the Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations, the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, and Venezuela's SAIME, SAREN and Foreign Ministry portals.
- We label what is only reported. When a fact comes from the press, a law firm alert or a service company, it carries a “Reported” tag and we tell you what to confirm.
- Every guide carries a date. The stamp at the top of each guide is the day its sources were last checked. We change it only when we check again.
- Sources are listed at the end of every guide, with links.
Not legal advice
These guides are general information. Immigration outcomes depend on your history and facts. For your own case, talk to an immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative; the Department of Justice keeps a list of free legal service providers.
Advertising
The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense and by the services above. Advertisers don't choose or review what we write, and we don't accept payment to mention a company. When we name a service's price, it's because it helps you compare.
Corrections
If something changed or we got it wrong, send us a correction on WhatsApp. We fix it and update the date. For anything else, see how to contact us.
